“Good physiotherapy doesn’t just change how a person moves; it changes what they believe they are capable of.”
At PhysioNautics, Dr. Shivangi Kapil combines specialized neurological knowledge, clinical reasoning, and evidence-based physiotherapy to help patients restore movement, function, confidence, and independence.
With a Master’s in Neurology, her clinical expertise includes neurological rehabilitation, movement re-education, balance and coordination, motor development, and functional recovery. She also treats musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, pain, post-operative conditions, and movement dysfunction, tailoring rehabilitation to each patient’s needs and goals.
Her neurological rehabilitation experience includes working with individuals with Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Parkinson’s disease, Muscular Dystrophy (MD), Cerebral Palsy (CP), and other neurological and developmental conditions. She has also worked with Para-Sports, including Boccia, developing an understanding of functional performance and rehabilitation.
Dr. Shivangi is certified in Dry Needling, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Aqua Therapy, Taping Techniques, Motor Development Techniques, and the McKenzie Technique. Her clinical practice also incorporates manual therapy, joint and soft-tissue techniques, therapeutic exercise, balance training, neuromuscular re-education, proprioceptive training, gait training, and functional movement retraining.
For neurological rehabilitation, she applies principles from Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), Bobath, Brunnstrom, Rood, Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT), motor-learning strategies, and task-specific training, and other techniques based on individual clinical needs.
Her Approach:
Dr. Shivangi believes rehabilitation should never be one-size-fits-all. Her focus is not simply on treating symptoms, but on understanding the underlying movement and functional limitations and progressively building strength, control, confidence, and independence.
“Recovery is not simply about getting back to where you were. It is about rebuilding the ability, confidence, and independence to move forward.”
