During the gestation women go through lot of changes in the body and emotions which guide the physical health, here comes the role of physiotherapist. During the gestation the physiotherapists guide the woman on how to prepare for normal delivery or C-Section, what all muscles needs to be trained to get the pain free gestation and delivery. It involves both physical strength training exercises and mind alignment meditations. Therapists also teaches various breathing patterns which are called Lamaz techniques to deliver the baby smoothly through vagina having shorter labour pain period. After the delivery the main role of physiotherapist is to optimise the body strength and train to strengthen abdominal and pelvic floor muscles. Pelvic floor muscles are too stretched during the period so for recovery there are set of tailored Kegel exercises which are extremely effective if practiced correctly.
