It is a very safe but invasive procedure, where a needle is inserted into the skin and muscles with the intention of breaking or say bursting the trigger point to elevate muscle pain and tension around the trigger point in that area. It is very effective method of removing trigger points which are stubborn and are not releiving by any manual release or other method. It can be done almost all over the body where skin is present. Usually it does not involve any pain during the insertion as the needle is too fine and is not felt when inserted into the muscles, but some people feel little soreness after the session which lasts for 18 to 24 hours usually and then fades away.
